If you or your kid is part of a team or if you are a coach this section is for you.

The world of sport can be complex at times. There are many factors to consider when it comes to performance, injury prevention, and safety. Sport is about way more than performance. At the end of the day we are humans first and our health always comes first. At Inspire Health & Performance we are all about looking at the big picture and do the same with our sports teams.

What we offer:

Direct Access to our Practitioners:

We offer group rates for collaborations with specific teams or clubs that gives you direct access to our practitioners. Please contact mike@inspirehealthcalgary.ca for more details.

This is for those wanting one on one individualized care with a:

Dietitian

  • improve daytime energy levels
  • fuel efficiently for performance on game day
  • what to eat or drink before, during, and after a game
  • recovery plan after practice or a game
  • healthy meal ideas that are quick and easy or on the go

*Our dietitian predominantly works with young high level athletes

  • ensure full mobility to be able to access your full potential in your sport
  • strength testing to ensure you can meet your sport demands
  • identity any muscle imbalances that may be hindering your best performance
  • rehabilitate any nagging or acute injury
  • help get you out of pain so you can perform your best
  • provide an individualized rehab program that fits with your training schedule
  • look at the full demands of the athlete to prevent over-training and injury
  • improve sport performance
  • for athletes who want to focus on the big picture
  • dives deeper into sleep, nutrition, mental health and movement
  • cleans up daily habits to ensure you are set up for success
  • screens for any further professional intervention including psychology, dietetics, and sports medicine.
  • accountability for the athlete with a specific action plan after each session
  • evidence informed information given to you so you don’t have to sort through it all

Pop up Clinics 

Pop up clinics are also an option depending on interest where we come to you and treat players of your team requiring further attention at your facility. This is available from any of our practitioners depending on availability.

Team Presentations

We offer team presentations delivered in person or via zoom from any of our practitioners. Topics include but are not limited to nutrition in sport, injury prevention, and the health journey: where to start. The presentations can be tailored to your teams needs and can be presented by our dietitian, physiotherapist, or psychologist depending on the topic.

Injury Prevention Programs

Our physiotherapist Mike will work with your team or club to establish an injury prevention program specific to the sport. This includes:

  • collaboration with key decision makers to decide on key points/parameters (e.g. program length, how it will be implemented, resources required etc.)
  • demonstration session with coaches
  • demonstration session with individual teams
  • some sideline face time with our physiotherapist for athletes with individual concerns looking for direction
