Is your health really priceless? Here’s a guide to physiotherapy cost in Calgary as of August 2025. There can be significant differences depending on where you go and how long of an appointment you need. Here’s an overview to help you know what to expect. 

Initial Physiotherapy Assessment Cost

In Calgary, initial physiotherapy assessments (which usually include a short first treatment) range from 30 to 70 minutes.

Follow-up physiotherapy appointments vary even more, typically running 20–60 minutes, depending on the clinic. It’s important to note that each assessment will be tailored to your needs and may take more or less time depending on your situation. Time alone is not an indicator of quality care.

Why Duration Is Hard to Compare

When researching for this post it became difficult to find out how much 1:1 time you get with the therapist due to different clinic models such as the use of support staff like a kinesiologist for example.

To keep things simple, this guide lists only the assessment and treatment costs for each clinic, along with appointment lengths if clearly listed on their website. A link will be provided to each clinic website in order to make it easier for you to gather more information. It is important to note that with some clinics you are one on one with the physiotherapist for the entire time while others have different models that include time on a machine or recovery tools or with support staff. This changes the total time you are there and makes it difficult to verify a standard duration. 

Finding Quality Care

Choosing a physiotherapy clinic is multi-factorial. If you’re unsure what your appointment will look like, the best approach is to reach out directly to the clinic.

The information below is taken from each clinic’s website or online booking system. This list does not include group rates. All fees and duration of appointments are accurate as of August 2025, but are subject to change at the discretion of the clinic.

Initial Physiotherapy Assessments

To see a physiotherapist in Calgary for an initial assessment there can be many factors to consider. We know your health is priceless so please ensure cost isn’t the only factor you use in making a good decision on who you see.

Initial physiotherapy assessments ranged from $110-$145 and from 30-70 min in duration. They are listed by price from lowest entry point to highest for ease of reference. As some clinics have different options we displayed them with a ” / ” in between.

Example: PT Kinetics “30 / 60” means they offer both 30-minute and 60-minute assessments.

We listed the prices with a dash (” – “) if that is what was listed on the clinic’s website. For example: $115-130.

Example: Panther Sports Medicine “$115–$130” shows the range given on their website.

Follow-Up Physiotherapy Appointments

After your initial assessment, follow up appointments may be required to continue towards your goals. These ranged in price from $90-$125 and from 20-60 min in duration. Again, the information in the chart is only what was listed on each company’s website or booking link. If you have any specific questions about your appointment please reach out directly to the clinic.

We used a slash (” / “) to separate options within a clinic and a dash (“-“) to indicate a range.

Example: At Fulcrum physiotherapy they offer a 40 min follow up appointment for $115 and a 60 min follow up appointment for $125.
